Marine Diaphragmatic Air Horn
Marine Diaphragmatic Air Horn
Description:
The marine diaphragmatic air horn utilizes the diaphragm and the air to resonate and transmit, and is driven by compressed air. It is mainly used to send out signals of different coded information in line with the requirements of international conventions, so as to transmit the navigation information of the ship to the surrounding ships for effective avoidance. Equipment when the directional whistle is used as the only whistle on board. It should be installed so that the maximum sound intensity is directed towards the front.
The horn should be placed as high as possible on the boat. So that the sound produced is less obstructed by shielding and minimize the risk of hearing damage to the operator. The sound pressure value at which own ship's signal is heard at the listening point on board should not exceed 110 dB (A). If the distance between the horns is greater than 100 meters, arrangements should be made so that they cannot be played at the same time. In general, if the sound field of a single horn in an area where the sound pressure value is greatly reduced, it is recommended to use a combined horn system to overcome this reduction. In other words, the combined whistle system is regarded as a single whistle. The distance between the horns in the combined system should not be greater than 100 meters, and arrangements should be made for them to be played simultaneously. The frequency of any horn shall be at least 10 Hz from the other horn frequencies.
Features:
1. Marine diaphragmatic air horns are designed to produce a loud, attention-grabbing sound that can be heard over long distances.
2. These horns are typically constructed from high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, brass, or bronze to withstand harsh marine environments and resist damage from saltwater and weather.
3. Marine diaphragmatic air horns are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit different vessels and applications, including compact air horns for smaller boats and larger models for larger ships.
4. They are typically easy to install and maintain, and require only a source of compressed air to operate.
5. Marine diaphragmatic air horns are required by international maritime regulations to be installed on all vessels over a certain size and must comply with the requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs).
6. These horns have a long service life and can be used for many years without requiring replacement or extensive maintenance.
Application:
It is applicable to various ships. Used as the source of alarm signal in the case of clearing of entering a port, shunning in voyage or bad visibility.

Main components:
Marine diaphragmatic air horn consists of two parts: sound system and automatic control system.
The sound system:electric motor, driven gear, eccentric shaft, piston, piston cylinder, sound generator (sound diaphragm), resonator, horn and other parts. Through mechanical connection, each component is formed into a unified whole with independent functions.
The automatic control system :a microcomputer with a "single chip" as the core.
