Introduction of Marine Fuel Pump

A marine fuel pump is required for engine operation. The engine needs gasoline to run, and the fuel pump delivers it under pressure to ensure smooth operation and efficient engine operation. Marine fuel pumps deliver fuel directly from the tank to the individual cylinders. This operation must be carried out under high pressure to ensure good combustion.

The fuel pump works to supply a certain amount of fuel to all cylinders at correct intervals according to the ignition sequence, regardless of load. The fuel pump supplies high-pressure fuel to the injector; then it opens the valve against the spring tension and injects the atomized fuel into the cylinder.

Transfer Pump:- As the name implies this pump is used to transfer Fuel oil.Fuel oil is transfer from DB Tank to settling tank. ( HFO is heated to 30-35°C before transferring it through the pump so as to make it flowable)When you think of any pump, please think of all below parameters so as to ensure the safe and efficient working of the pump.

Booster Pump:-This pump is used to pump F.O from mixing column to engine preheater, two pumps are used in the system, one is running and another is standby.

The pressure of FO is also increased through this pump.
