Marine Shaft Bearing

Marine Shaft Bearing

Application

Marine shaft bearings are a critical component of a vessel's propulsion system, as they support the weight of the propeller shaft and allow it to rotate smoothly. The bearings are typically made of materials such as brass, bronze, or stainless steel, and are designed to withstand high loads and harsh marine environments. There are several types of marine shaft bearings, including journal bearings, thrust bearings, and spherical bearings. Journal bearings are the most common type, and they support the shaft by creating a film of oil between the bearing surface and the shaft. Thrust bearings, on the other hand, support axial loads and prevent the shaft from moving forward or backward.

Marine shaft bearing is one of the main parts of marine shaft system. The main types of marine shaft bearings are DTZ large pressure self-aligning intermediate bearing, JQ/CS 49 stern shaft bearing, JQ/CS 48A stern shaft bearing, stern tube white metal bearing, GB/T 14364-2008 gliding shaft intermediate bearing, JT/T259 shafting intermediate bearing, etc.

Features
1. Various cooler materials, typically cu-pro-nickel, stainless steel or titanium, are available to suit individual specification requirements.

2. Forced oil lubricated or circulating oil cooled solutions are available if required together with the associated oil lubrication systems.

3. Proven sealing solutions to withstand emergency flooded compartment requirements.

4. Robust naval bearing casing designs to withstand explosive shock forces.

5. Radial loads can be supported on white-metal lined journal bushes or white-metal lined tilting journal pads. The use of tilting journal pads increases the dynamic shaft misalignment capacity of the bearing.

6. Certificate: RINA, CCS, BV...

7. Can be customized according to your requirements or provide the OEM services.
