Planar Linkage Flap Rudder - Marine Rudder Blade - Hi-sea

Planar Linkage Flap Rudder

Planar Linkage Flap Rudder

Application

The existing planar linkage flap rudder is mainly composed of a rudder stock cover and a push rudder link, one end of the push rudder link is rotatably connected to the hull, and one end of the rudder cover is fixed to the wing. The top of the rudder stock, the other end of the rudder stock sleeve and the other end of the push rudder link are rotatably connected together through a bearing, and the push rudder link mechanism of this structure can effectively push the rudder to rotate. The planar linkage flap rudder is often used in large vessels such as container ships or oil tankers, as it provides greater maneuverability and responsiveness compared to traditional rudder designs. It is also commonly used in naval vessels and submarines, as it allows for improved stealth and underwater maneuverability.

Advantages and Features

1. High lift coefficient, reduced turning diameter of vessel.

2. Increased steering quality of vessel.

3. Improve the navigation stability of vessel effectively.

4. Reduced rush-forward distance when braking.

5. Extended navigable zone and increased economic benefit of vessel.

6. Rotation axis bush of non-metal material with water lubrication, no pollution.

7. Equipped with protective shield to protect the transmission parts and prolong-ate the service life. Meanwhile reduce the failure risk of the transmission part being winded by the fishing net and the other floating objects etc.
