Ratchet type load binder is designed to tighten chain tie down over a load. Forged steel handle for maximum leverage. Cam and pawl mechanism for smooth ratcheting. A ratchet binder uses a ratcheting mechanism to create tension in the chain. It features a ratchet handle and two tension hooks on each end. The ratchet style is often noted as the safer option. Its design doesn't store as much energy in the handle, reducing the risk of the bar recoiling or snapping.
