General description:

Lifeboat and rescue boat refer to a special lifeboat set on a ship for rescue function in the event of a shipwreck. The hull is usually painted in a fixed orange-yellow color to facilitate the discovery and identification of rescue ships and aircraft. An air box is often installed inside the boat, so that the boat still has enough buoyancy after entering the water to ensure the safety of the boat. There are also equipped emergency items on the lifeboat for emergency occasion.

Differences between lifeboat and rescue boat:

A lifeboat is a type of boat designed to provide a means of escape for people on a ship or offshore structure in the event of an emergency. They are also designed to be self-righting and able to withstand rough seas and adverse weather conditions. A rescue boat, on the other hand, is a smaller, more maneuverable vessel designed specifically for search and rescue operations. Rescue boats are often used by emergency services, such as the coast guard or fire department, to rescue people from the water or to provide assistance to boats in distress. They are typically equipped with powerful engines, specialized equipment such as rescue nets, and first aid supplies.
