Square Rubber Fender
Square Rubber Fender
Description:
A square rubber fender is a type of protective device designed to absorb and distribute impact energy during collisions between vessels or structures. It serves as a cushion or bumper, minimizing damage and preventing direct contact between the objects involved.
The fender is made of durable rubber material, which provides elasticity and resilience to withstand the forces generated during impacts. Its square shape allows for uniform distribution of forces, making it suitable for various applications where corner protection is crucial.
Square rubber fenders are commonly used in marine environments, such as ports, docks, and shipyards, where they are installed along quays, piers, and berthing structures. They act as a barrier between the vessel and the dock, absorbing the kinetic energy generated during mooring and berthing operations. This helps to protect both the vessel and the infrastructure from damage.
These fenders come in different sizes and configurations to accommodate various vessel types and berthing requirements. They can be attached to the structure using bolts or other fastening mechanisms, ensuring a secure and reliable installation.
Square rubber fenders offer several advantages over other fender types. Their square shape allows for efficient use of space and provides excellent protection at corners where the risk of impact is higher. The rubber material provides good shock absorption properties, reducing the transmitted forces and preventing damage to the vessel or structure. Additionally, rubber fenders are resistant to harsh marine conditions, such as UV radiation, saltwater, and extreme temperatures, ensuring their longevity and reliability.

Square Rubber Fender with PE Pad:
The square rubber fender with PE pad is widely used, and the PE pad can effectively reduce the friction between the hull and the fender, so the service life of the fender will be longer, if you need this type of square rubber fender please contact us.
Application:
Square rubber fender has heavier shoulders which make it ideal for tougher service environments. Square rubber fenders are commonly used on the bow or stern of smaller tugs as pushing fenders since they can be fitted closely together to reduce the risk of ropes or protrusions catching between adjacent sections.
