Application:

The unequal leg and thickness angles are one kind of special steel angles which are with unequal legs and different thickness. They are also known as “L-section steel”. They are often used for shipbuilding as part of main structure. Compared with bulb flats, the unequal leg and thickness angles have larger section modulus and stronger rigidity. What’s more, under the condition of same section modulus, the unequal leg and different thickness angles can increase the loading and economic benefits. They are showed as unequal leg length (longer first) and the different thickness (thinner first), eg. L250×90×9×13. In addition to shipbuilding, the unequal leg and thickness angles can be used for bridges, power transmission towers, beams.
