    Description:

    The fender's distinctive shape resembles a truncated cone, with a larger diameter at the base tapering to a smaller diameter at the top. This design allows for effective energy absorption and dispersion by compressing and deforming under impact. The cone shape provides a wider contact area, reducing pressure on the fender and the structure it is attached to.
    Cone type rubber fenders are commonly used in various marine applications, such as ports, docks, and offshore platforms. They are particularly suitable for berthing larger vessels, including container ships, tankers, and cruise liners, due to their ability to handle high-energy impacts.
    These fenders are typically installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the specific requirements of the application. Vertical installation provides better protection against impacts at different angles, while horizontal installation is suitable for low tidal variations or areas with limited space.
    The cone type rubber fender's material properties, such as high elasticity and resilience, allow it to withstand repeated impacts without losing its effectiveness. It provides reliable protection to both the vessel and the structure it interacts with, minimizing the risk of damage to the hull, quays, or piers.

    Application:

    Cone type rubber fender is the latest generation of “Cell Fender” combining excellent energy capacity with low reaction force to give the most efficient performance of any fender. Cone type rubber fender can keep the body stable under all combinations of axial, shear and angular loading, making it ideal for berths where large berthing angles and heavy impacts need to be accommodated.

    Features of Cone Type Rubber Fender:

    1. In the case of oblique berthing (less than an angle of 10°), the performance will not be reduced, which is superior to cell fender;

    2. The frontal frame (steel frame) is installed in front of cone fenders, which can reduce the surface pressure against vessel hull. The surface pressure can be limited below 25t/m2, which is suitable to large vessel especially;

    3. The super high density polyethylene pads are adhered to the frontal frame, which can reduce the friction factor between hull and cone fender to below 0.2, and can reduce the shear force (horizontal force) exerted on fenders when vessel berthing, which can prolong the service life of fenders;

    4. The frontal frame adopts water-tight structure with high strength and better anti-rust performance;

    5. The cone fender body is rarely damaged or impaired because it never contacts the hull directly.
