SCBA with bone
conduction communication unit (BCCU) can transmit the users’ voice to the
intercom and send other persons’ voice to the headset. It is difficult to
clearly transmit the sound because of the barrier of the full face mask in traditional
air breathing apparatus. But the newly designed SCBA with BCCU is not limited
to that. The BCCU picks up the signal generated by the voice vibration and
sends it to the intercom. Then the intercom will convert it to sound and send
out. This can make sure the communication between the users and others.
