Marine Airbag
Overview:
Marine Airbags as known as an innovative product with independent intellectual property. The composition of the marine airbag consists of the capsule body, the capsule head and the end of iron part. A marine airbag is a cylindrical inflatable device designed specifically for marine applications. It is typically made of high-strength rubber or PVC material and consists of several airtight chambers or compartments. The airbag is used in various marine operations such as ship launching, docking, and salvage operations.
When used for ship launching, marine airbags are placed beneath the hull of a vessel to provide buoyancy and support during the launching process. They are inflated with compressed air, which causes the airbag to expand and lift the ship off the ground or slipway. This allows the vessel to slide smoothly into the water without experiencing excessive friction or damage.
During docking operations, marine airbags are used to provide cushioning and fendering between the ship and the dock or other structures. They act as a protective barrier to absorb impact and prevent damage to both the vessel and the docking infrastructure.
In salvage operations, marine airbags are utilized to refloat sunken or stranded ships. By positioning the airbags strategically along the hull of the vessel and inflating them, buoyancy is created, allowing the ship to rise to the water's surface. This method is often employed when traditional methods like cranes or pumps are impractical or insufficient.
Marine airbags offer several advantages over conventional methods. They are flexible, portable, and easy to deploy, making them suitable for various marine environments. They distribute the load evenly and provide uniform support, reducing stress on the vessel's structure. Additionally, they have a high lifting capacity and can handle substantial weights.
