Light Transmission hole
Description
The
light transmission hole is set on the roof of the tank, which is used for
lighting and ventilation during oil tank installation and cleaning.
Application
The
daylighting of oil tank is set on the roof of the tank. Generally, it is a
circular hole with a diameter of 500 mm.It is used for daylighting, ventilation
and exhaust when cleaning and overhauling oil tanks. In addition, when the
operating device of the safety valve fails, it can also be used to open the
safety valve with a steel cable attached to the light transmission hole.
When only one light hole is
set on the roof, it should be on the roof above the inlet and outlet
pipelines. When two light transmission holes are provided, the light
transmission holes and manholes shall be distributed symmetrically along the
circumference as far as possible for lighting and ventilation, but at least one
light transmission hole shall be set near the roof platform. The outer edge of
the light transmission hole shall be 800~1000 mm away from the tank wall. The
upper part of the light
transmitting hole is connected with the vent hole, which is normally closed by
the eyelet blind plate. When cleaning and repairing the oil tank, the eyelet
blind plate is opened and the vent hole is connected, so that mechanical
ventilation can be carried out in the tank.
