    Description:

    Marine chock is a closed Marine chock is a closed cell chock installed on the bulwark or deck and used to limit the position of the mooring ropes. It can reduce the friction between mooring ropes and hull, and can extend the rope's service life. All our chocks are produced based on international standard, qualified to pass IACS inspections.

    How to Choose Good Quality Chocks?

    1. Make sure the chock casting from qualified mill. You can inquiry the casting mill with class cert. or not.

    2. Guarantee the chock factory with class type approval or not.

    3. Ask photos after heat treatment of chock to see if there is any cracks or tiny holes.

    4. Confirm all chocks passing magnetic powder inspection.

    5. Require supplier offer weight of each chock.

    Chock production process as below:

    CASTING - HEAT TREATMENT - (WELDING)- POLISHING - SHOT BLASTING - INSPECTION - PAINTING

    The most important procedure is heat treatment. Chocks through good heat treatment, the inside tiny air holes can be eliminated to the maximum extent. The procedure greatly reduce the risks of crack.
