Safety Valve
Introduction
A marine safety valve is a critical safety device installed on ships and marine vessels to protect the crew, equipment, and the environment from potential hazardous situations that may arise from overpressure in the vessel.
It is a spring-loaded valve that is designed to automatically open and relieve pressure if the pressure inside the vessel exceeds a predetermined set point. When the pressure drops below the set point, the valve automatically closes to prevent further release of the contents of the vessel.
