Classification of marine watertight doors
There are hinge type and hydraulic sliding type. The hinge type is required to open and close on both sides of the door.
According to the sliding direction, the sliding watertight door has two types: horizontal sliding and vertical sliding; according to the operation mode, there are two kinds of manual operation and power operation. (The time for manual door closing does not exceed 90 seconds, and the time for power door closing does not exceed 60 seconds.)
Hydraulic sliding watertight doors are also commonly applies to watertight gateways of engine room below waterline of ships.
