Introduction of Marine Portlight
The porthole is a watertight circular window set on the ship's side shell, superstructure and deckhouse outer wall, etc. It is generally composed of main window frame, glass pressure plate, storm cover, etc. Marine portholes together with their glass and porthole covers (deadlight) shall be of solid construction and shall be capable of being effectively closed and watertight.
