Marine Class 150 Gate Valve

1. Introduction

Marine Class 150 Gate Valves are commonly used in marine applications to control the flow of fluids such as water, fuel, and chemicals. These valves are typically designed for low-pressure applications and have a maximum pressure rating of 150 pounds per square inch (psi) as per the ANSI standard.

The gate valve is named after the gate-like disk that moves up and down to control the flow of fluid through the valve. The disk is positioned between two seats in the valve body and is lifted to allow fluid to flow through the valve when the valve is opened. When the valve is closed, the disk is lowered to block the flow of fluid.

4. Application
