GBT554-2008 Marine Double Bollard Type C
Introduction:
GBT554-2008 is a Chinese national standard that specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture, and testing of marine double bollards of Type C. A double bollard is a type of mooring device used to secure a vessel to a dock or quay.
Type C double bollards consist of two cylindrical posts, or horns, mounted on a common base plate. The horns are spaced apart at a fixed distance and are designed to receive the mooring lines of a vessel. Type C bollards are typically used for larger vessels and have a higher load-bearing capacity than other types of bollards.
According to GBT554-2008, Type C double bollards must be made of cast steel or ductile iron and must be able to withstand a minimum breaking load of 100 tons. The bollards must be able to rotate freely on their base plate and must be designed to prevent damage to the vessel's mooring lines.
There are five types of GBT554-2008 marine bollard, type A ordinary bollard, type B embedded bollard, type C simple bollard, type DL double cross screw fixed bollard and type DH double cross welding fixed bollard. Different types have different nominal diameters. All these bollard are produced in accordance with the GBT554-2008 standard and have been certified by the China Classification Society. Our company also provides other standard marine bollards, and can also provide customized products according to your needs.
