Marine Weathertight Hatch Cover
Introduction
Weathertight means that water should not penetrate into the ship under any wind and wave conditions. The tightness requirement of weathertight is lower than that of watertight. The closing devices of various openings on the freeboard deck and enclosed superstructures and enclosures, as well as the bulkhead deck or its upper deck, are required to be weathertight.
