Roller Upper Rudder Carrier
Application
A roller upper rudder carrier is a type of rudder carrier used in marine vessels that utilizes rollers or ball bearings to support the rudder stock and allow it to rotate smoothly. This design allows for reduced friction and wear on the rudder system, which can improve steering efficiency and reduce maintenance requirements. The roller upper rudder carrier typically includes a base or flange that is bolted to the hull of the vessel, as well as a cylindrical housing or sleeve that surrounds the rudder stock. Inside the housing, a set of rollers or ball bearings are arranged around the rudder stock to provide a bearing surface for the rudder to pivot on. The Roller Upper Rudder Carrier is suitable for small and medium vessels with upper and lower rudder structures. It is usually divided into three types: A, B and C. Type A is Light Roller Upper Rudder Carrier; type B is Heavy Roller Upper Rudder Carrier, type C is Watertight Roller Upper Rudder Carrier.
