Anchor Shackle
Description:
An anchor shackle is a type of shackle that is used to secure an anchor chain to an anchor or to connect two lengths of chain together. It is typically made of metal, such as stainless steel or galvanized steel, and has a U-shaped design with a threaded pin that fits through the two ends of the U-shape.
The pin of an anchor shackle is removable, which makes it easy to attach and detach from the anchor or chain. This is particularly useful when it is necessary to replace the anchor or chain, or to switch between different types of anchors or chains.
Anchor shackles come in a variety of sizes and weight ratings, which allow them to be used with different sizes and weights of anchor chains. They are also designed to withstand heavy loads and harsh environments, making them ideal for marine and offshore applications.
Overall, anchor shackles are an essential component of any anchor system, as they provide a secure and reliable connection between the anchor and the chain, ensuring the safety and stability of the vessel.
