What are the role, advantage and disadvantage of structural steel screws?
Structural steel screws are fasteners that
enable the connection of steel structures and are usually made of steel. These
screws can be shaped in such a way that they enable the tight fixing of two or
more metal workpieces through the shape of the threads.
1.Connecting steel structure: steel structure screws can be used to connect different steel structure parts, such as steel frame, steel beams, etc. to form a complete building or project.
2. Stabilizing steel structure: steel structure screws can keep the stability and sturdiness of the steel structure to ensure the safety of the building.
3. Simplicity: It is simpler to use steel
structure screws to connect steel structure materials than to use other ways to
connect them, such as welding.
The advantage:
When it is necessary to dismantle or replace a specific part, faced with a large piece of the whole, the use of steel construction screws can be more reliably achieved by quickly unloading the necessary parts. Conventional welding connections, on the other hand, can take a longer time to remove an area of welded joints.
The disadvantage:
When steel structures, plates and
prefabricated parts are thicker, longer structural steel screws are required,
but in practice, the length may still be insufficient for the particular
situation encountered.
