Selection of marine fans

1.Blowing fan:Small, anti-sway, anti-vibration, anti-shock and energy-saving, using airfoil blades.

2.Ventilation fan (transporting corrosive gas): Corrosion resistance, air tightness, low noise, corrosion prevention, galvanizing treatment, marine fans are generally selected  for explosion-proof type.

3.Engine room ventilator:The pressure and flow rate meet the requirements, that is, under various loads, the air consumption of each equipment in the engine room is enough, and the air pressure in the engine room is slightly higher than one atmosphere.

Maintenance considerations for marine fans

Fan maintenance mainly includes periodic strip inspection; and fault repair. After disassembling, check the cleanliness of the airflow surface to remove the surface ash; check the impeller blades, rims or discs and the entrance or casing for scratches. If abnormal wear and deformation are not found, the consumable parts such as bearings can be replaced after cleaning. Behind the impeller is fixed, the radial and axial run out at the outer diameter of the front and rear discs shall be measured and not exceed the specified standards.
