Lubricating oil pump (gear oil pump) is suitable for conveying lubricating liquids without solid particles, non-corrosiveness and wide viscosity range. The flow rate of the pump can reach 300m / h, and the pressure can reach 3 × 107 Pa. It is usually used as hydraulic pump and conveying all kinds of oil products. The lubricating oil pump (gear oil pump) has the advantages of simple and compact structure, easy manufacture, convenient maintenance and self-priming ability. A lubricating oil pump (gear pump) must be equipped with a safety valve to prevent damage to the pump or prime mover due to some reason, such as blockage of the discharge pipe, causing the pump's outlet pressure to exceed the allowable value.

Working Principle of Marine Lubricating Oil Pump

When the meshed gear rotates in the pump body, the gear teeth continuously enter and exit the mesh. In the suction chamber, the gear teeth gradually exit the meshing state, so that the volume of the suction chamber gradually increases, the pressure decreases, and the liquid enters the suction chamber under the action of the liquid surface pressure, and enters the discharge chamber with the gear teeth. In the discharge chamber, the gear teeth gradually enter the meshing state again, the teeth of the gear are gradually occupied by the gear teeth of a gear, the volume of the discharge chamber decreases, and the liquid pressure in the discharge chamber increases, so the liquid is discharged from the pump discharge port. The gears continue to rotate, and the above process continues to form a continuous oil delivery process.
