Application
Marine fixed pitch azimuth thrusters are fitted with fixed pitch propellers.The azimuth thruster is generally used for smaller size vessels such as tugs and ferries.The propeller rotates 360 degrees around the vertical axis so that the thruster can perform both the propulsion and steering duties. The marine fixed pitch azimuth thruster is a simple and reliable propulsion system that provides high levels of maneuverability and control in smaller vessels. Its lower cost and maintenance requirements make it an attractive option for applications where high power outputs are not required.
