Anchor Chain Application:
An anchor chain is a critical component in a ship's anchoring system, and its primary purpose is to secure the vessel in place while it is at anchor. Anchor chains are typically made of high-strength steel and consist of a series of interlocking links that form a continuous chain.
The anchor chain is attached to the ship's anchor at one end and to the ship's hull at the other end. When the anchor is dropped, the chain pays out and sinks to the seabed, providing a secure anchor point for the ship.
The size and strength of the anchor chain required depends on the size and weight of the vessel, the depth of the water, and the expected weather and sea conditions. A larger and stronger chain is required for larger and heavier vessels and for anchoring in deeper water or in rougher sea conditions.
