Dredge Drag head
Application
Dredge drag head is used by a trailing hopper suction dredger to collect sand from sea floor. A dredge drag head is a type of dredging equipment that is used to loosen and remove sediment from the bottom of a body of water. It is typically attached to a dredging vessel or barge and consists of a steel frame with multiple teeth or blades that scrape and cut through the sediment.
The dredge drag head is designed to create a suction effect as it moves through the sediment, which helps to lift the sediment and water mixture into the dredging vessel or barge. The sediment can then be transported to a disposal site or used for other purposes.
