Dredge Swell Compensator
Application
Dredge swell joint is basically a buffer system integratedin the hoisting wire system. It consists of pressurized air/oil vessels, that connected to a hydraulic cylinder between sheaves.

The compensation levels necessary for the various soil types. They are read off tables that are prepared for different suction tube arrangements on individual dredgers.
