Grade D Shipbuilding Steel Plate
The steel grade of the ship building plate is ABS grade D, which is equivalent with BVD, CCSD, NV D, GL-D, KRD, LRD, KD, RINA-D. The ABS D grade steel plates have yield strength of 34,100 psi (235 MPa), and ultimate tensile strength of 58,000-75,500 psi (400-520 MPa).The ABS grade D shipbuilding steel plate is suitable for offshore platforms and hull fabrication.It is one type of normal strength shipbuilding steels, along with Grade A, B and E. It is noted that AB/DN is in normalized condition, while AB/Dis in controlled condition.
