Glass Level Gauge
Introduction:
A glass level gauge is a device used to measure the level of liquid or fluid inside a tank or vessel. It consists of a transparent glass tube or column that is connected to the tank at the bottom and top. The glass tube is filled with the same liquid as in the tank, allowing the operator to visually observe the level of the liquid.
The glass tube is usually mounted vertically on the tank, and it has markings or graduations along its length to indicate the level of the liquid. These markings can be in the form of numbers, lines, or other indicators. The level of the liquid is determined by comparing the position of the liquid in the glass tube with these markings.
To ensure accurate readings, the glass level gauge is often equipped with a valve at the top and bottom connections. These valves can be opened or closed to control the flow of liquid into or out of the glass tube, allowing for easier maintenance or replacement of the gauge if necessary.
