Compared with deep well anodes, shallow buried anodes are generally less than 15 meters deep, which is a kind of external current auxiliary anode. The applied current is built in high-silicon cast iron anode or noble metal oxide anode with shallow buried anode. Molding, mainly used in cathodic protection systems where the surface space is small or the soil resistivity is high.
Shallow grown anode has the advantages of long service life, easy installation, small grounding resistance and large discharge capacity.
1. Vertical anode consisting of one or more anodes embedded vertically in the ground, with electrodes connected by cables.
Advantage:1) The grounding resistance has not changed much throughout the year;
2)When the anode size is the same, the grounding resistance of the vertical bed is smaller than the horizontal type.
2. Horizontal anode that buries the anode horizontally into a formation of a certain depth.
Advantage: 1)The installation of earth and stone is small and easy to construct;
2)Easy to check the work of various parts of the bed
3. Combined anode, refers to a bed made of steel material, which consists of a row of vertical anodes with horizontal ends connected to the horizontal trunk.
