Application
A marine fixed pitch (FP) tunnel thruster is a type of propulsion system used in ships and boats to provide additional maneuverability and control. It consists of a propeller mounted in a tunnel on the side or at the bow or stern of the vessel, perpendicular to the direction of travel, and is powered by an electric or hydraulic motor. Fixed pitch tunnel thrusters are typically used in smaller vessels, such as pleasure craft and ferries, where moderate levels of thrust are required to maneuver in and out of harbors or tight spaces. They can provide excellent maneuverability in a variety of marine environments, allowing the vessel to move sideways, forwards, or backwards as required.
